A Day of Joy for Mampong's Youngest
Every school term ends, but for many children in our communities it ends quietly — without celebration, without a treat, without the small moments that make a child feel seen. The Nana Brepo Ansah 1 Foundation created the Kindergarten Joy Project to change that.
On 23rd July 2026, beginning at 8:30 in the morning, the Foundation visited four kindergarten schools across Akuapem Mampong to host an end-of-term celebration for their youngest pupils. Children were served a hot, nourishing meal and refreshments, took part in games and singing, and received gifts and learning materials to carry into the new term. Teachers, parents and community elders joined in, turning an ordinary end-of-term day into something the children will remember.
The initiative is led personally by Nana Brepo Ansah I, Amankradohemaa of Akuapem Mampong, whose vision is that no child in the community should grow up believing that joy is something reserved for other people's children.
